Maintain and modify the implementation of the virtualized test environment provided to the ASML software developers, in co-operation with the internal customer, ASML software development.
Job Description
As Infrastructure Test Architect you take ownership of the virtualized test environment provided to the internal customer. This test environment is used by more than 1200 developers which do create more than 400.000 instances per month.
You make sure that this will be a structured environment. As technical expert you are participating in running projects and proposing improvements that focus on system performance and process efficiency for end-users.
You will be actively involved in activities like:
- Give support in solving 3rd line incidents related to the test environment (network and infra related);
- Participate in the transfer to the new data centers;
- Keep abreast with relevant literature, means and methods.
You are a strong partner in discussions with the Software Configuration Management solution architects and stakeholders within the internal customer departments.
Context of the position ASML ITThe IT division supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes across ASML. The ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all ASML's internal and external activities.A sub-department within the IT organization is IT CCP ST (Competence Center Product Solution Team); this department is responsible for the infrastructure and tooling for ASML's development organization.
Within IT CCP ST three development disciplines are represented: mechanical, electrical and software engineering. The senior SCM Test Environment will be active in the software engineering group.
The Infrastructure Test architect will be part of the Architecture team which is part of the software engineering group (approximately 100 FTE). This group is responsible for the software development environment for ASML's product lines and maintains supports and further develops this environment.

Bachelor degree
Experience
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and proven experience in large technical complicated development environments;
- Thorough understanding and practical experience with:
- Development environments
- Unix/Linux Hardware infrastructure.
- Multiple virtualization techniques (Solaris zone, RedHat virtualization)
Personal skills- Shows initiative and has problem solving attitude.
- Pragmatic, flexible and committed to quality.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in the English language.
