RPS Energy has an established track record with numerous major clients. We are embarking on a major programme of further expansion in this sector and are seeking the right individual to support this expansion with immediate involvement in high profile flagship energy projects.

Borehole Seismic (VSP) data modeller and processor required

The successful candidate will be working within the Borehole Seismic department. The department manages personnel who perform QC roles on borehole seismic projects worldwide. Undertakes pre-survey data modelling and post survey geophysical processing, as well as other desk studies on behalf of clients on a worldwide basis.

The role will include travel and will be based within the RPS Aberdeen office.

Main Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not necessarily be limited to:
• To provide VSP processing and other similar products to clients
• Pre and Post survey modelling
• Ad hoc consultancy work

Borehole Seismic (VSP) data Modeller and Processor Job Requirements

The candidate should possess:
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in land and marine seismic data processing with a major geophysical contractor or operator
• A Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in physics or earth sciences
• Experience in seismic and well log processing and analysis
• Familiarity with current seismic data acquisition methods.
