Responsibilities
The Foster Wheeler Graduate Programme for Chemical Engineering graduates comprises an initial period of two years of training in process design activities and periods spent in other related departments (e.g. Estimating, Project Engineering, Heat Exchanger Group). This is followed by a further two years where your learning to date will be developed and will provide you with the necessary skills and experience to apply for membership of the IChemE and become a Chartered Engineer.
As a Graduate Process Engineer you will be involved in undertaking process design activities on Foster Wheeler's current projects in the refining, chemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, GTL and LNG sectors. This will include undertaking calculations for hydraulics, equipment sizing and safety related devices and preparing documents and drawings such as Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment Specifications and P&IDs. You will also gain exposure to the Safety and Environmental aspects of process design work. Other features of the programme include:
Accredited training with quarterly development reviews for the first two years followed by two additional years of career development

You will need a minimum 2:1 degree in a chemical engineering-related discipline. An IChemE-accredited degree to MEng level is required.
