The Statistics Competence Engineer is responsible for statistical data analysis of the Twinscan systems performance, setting up SPC control charts and implementation of SPC in the Twinscan Factory (TF). ASML is using SPC to reduce variability in the performance of the Twinscan systems. This is a low-volume manufacturing environment.
Job Description
As a Statistics Competence Engineer you are responsible for the statistical performance analysis of the Twinscan systems. You take care of the definition, implementation and availability of SPC control charts to ensure variability of Twinscan system performance can be monitored and controlled. You coordinate the SPC control loop process in the Twinscan Factory.
- Understanding and interpreting of Statistical Process Control and Process capability data in a low-volume manufacturing environment
- Performing statistical analysis of product performance data manufacturing and identify critical parameters
- Building analytical processes and code to optimize system performance analysis
- Responsible for the definition and availability of Statistical process Control charts
- Responsible for analyzing and reporting of Process capability data
- Develop the data processing pipeline, through importing data from various sources
- Effectively create and support process enhancement initiatives to maintain an environment of continuous improvement throughout the organization
- Coaching other colleagues in Statistical Process Control methods and advanced analytical methods
- Evaluate process performance for the purpose of identifying required problem solving, improvements and opportunities
- Coordinating the SPC control loop process in the Twinscan Factory
- Work closely together with the different departments Development, Production Engineering, Trouble Shoot and Process Lab to enable accurate data gathering and analysis of data
Context of the position The Statistics Competence Engineer reports directly to the TF (Twinscan Factory) PS (Production Support) PM (Program Management) Project Manager. The TF PS PM department is part of the TF Production Support organization within the sector Twinscan Factory
ASML - Statistics Competence Engineer Job Requirements
MSc technical degree (or Bachelor + relevant experience), preferable in Mathematics / Statistics
Experience
- Experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes
- Knowledge on Lean Manufacturing, Flow
- A deep understanding of statistical techniques coupled with an analytical and problem solving mindset
- Ability to work both independently and in team settings in high ambiguity environments
- Know-how of scanner/steppers on system or multiple module level is preferred
- Experience with Spotfire as a data analytics tool is an advantage
