Technical Business Analyst – Asset Management – Associate Job Description

Due to ongoing investment at our award winning Glasgow Technology Centre, we have a need to recruit multiple Technical Business Analyst’s, to work on various projects across our Asset Management Business.

Candidates will be able to produce requirements, testing and implementation documentation and will have the ability to effectively communicate and face off to business users at many levels; translating business problems into technical solutions. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Work with the business to understand priorities & requirements
• Capture business requirements and translate into functional/ non-functional user stories for the development team
• Produce clear and concise documentation of complex process flows, business requirements and acceptance criteria
• Develop test cases and work with the business / test teams to ensure execution
• Oversee deployment of changes into the production environment
• Work as part of an Agile SCRUM team
• Daily troubleshooting, problem solving with the team
• Review high-level risks and issues and determine mitigation/resolution options.
• Interface regularly with senior managers

Technical Business Analyst – Asset Management – Associate Job Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience:                     

• Strong SQL capabilities
• Database experience with the ability to utilise SQL to perform Data Analysis and build necessary queries / reports
• Experience of software development in an object orientated environment
• Experience working in a Technical Business Analyst capacity within a technology orientated role/business
• Delivery focussed with a proven track record in Software Development
• Office tools: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Sybase/SQL Server/Data modelling experience
• Exposure to Java or object oriented, Web Services, XML, REST, SOAP
• Experience of working in an agile environment
• Behaviour driven development (BDD)
• Excellent verbal and written communication at all levels of business users and with technical developers
• Experience of working with multiple specialist technology groups including 3rd party vendors
