The Global Wealth Management Technology is part of the Asset Management line of business at JPMorgan Chase and Co and is responsible for providing high quality, high performance and resilient technology solutions to the business that we support.
Our group is responsible for solutions supporting investor tools and brokerage order management functionality for internal users covering all major asset classes, including position management, portfolio analysis, order capture, pre-trade checks and STP. We operate on principles of technical excellence and strong partnership with the business to ensure that the company can rely on our ability to deliver robust technology solutions to emerging business needs, continued growth and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities include
- Full-stack architecture, design, development for Investor Tools and Brokerage Trading Web Applications
- Delivery of software on time and on budget, based on original scope & requirements
- Designing software and producing scalable and resilient technical designs
- Digesting and understanding Business Requirements and designing new modules/functionality to meet those needs
- Creating Automated Unit Tests using Flexible/Open Source Frameworks using a Test Driven Development approach
- Partner with supporting tech leads to develop realistic and achievable project estimates
- Analysis and build within Control, Stability, Resiliency, Capacity & Performance areas
- Testing: Unit, SIT & UAT planning and management
- Robust delivery of code into the production environment
- Take part in decisions affecting long range organizational goals & strategic planning.
- Proactively look to develop, implement and further development best practices across the group. The areas of focus should include, but not be limited to quality improvement, code reviews, code/architecture standards, code reuse, and reduction of support calls, technical documentation and technical design specifications.

Qualifications
- Relevant university degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience
- Proven track record of application development experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Exposure/ competence with Agile Development approach
- Excellent knowledge of Java technologies including core Java 6, Spring, J2EE and application containers such as Tomcat
- JDBC based solutions to access databases such as spring-jdbc
- Java Frameworks i.e. Spring; Hibernate
- Business Driven and Test-driven development experience, Junit
- RESTful API design, service oriented architecture expertise
