Function Description
The Manager Fieldservice at VMI Yantai coordinates all fieldservice tasks organized or fulfilled by VMI Yantai employees. He gives direction to all VMI Yantai Fieldservice Engineers, Testers and Fieldservice Mechanics and Electricians. If not working at customer site, the fieldservice mechanics and electricians work for production under direction of the Head of Production.

The Manager Fieldservice coordinates the planning for all fieldservice activities organized or fulfilled by VMI Yantai employees, in close consultation with VMI Epe Operation Control, the VMI Yantai VP Production. The Manager Fieldservice develops his team of Commissioning Engineers, Testers and Fieldservice mechanics and electricians.

Function Tasks and Responsibilities
The main tasks and responsibilities are:

• Leading a group of staff workers, commissioning engineers, testers and a flexible group of fieldservice mechanics and electricians
• Planning and realization of all fieldservice activities for VMI Yantai
• Planning and execution of all test activities in Yantai
• Development of the VMI Yantai fieldservice team
• Support of fieldservice engineers/workers on site
• Maintain and Improve close communication between VMI Yantai and VMI Epe
• Organizing and improving communication between VMI Yantai Commissioning and Test engineers and VMI Epe Software Engineers
• Support and execute actively continues improvement and make proposal for improvements

Manager Fieldservice Job Requirements

Competences for this position
The main competencies are:

• Good knowledge of machinery/equipment
• Knowledge of hardware, software, testing
• Management and social skills to lead a group of 20-40 engineers, mechanics and electricians
• Affinity with and willing to work with different cultures
• Fluent in English and Dutch
