You are responsible to lead initiatives that contribute to assurance and improvement of the Quality performance of the ASML Supply Chain by driving development and deployment of, and providing execution support to Supply Quality Assurance processes.
Your biggest challenges lie in clarifying the links (or the gaps) between processes across different sectors (Development & Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing & Logistics and Customer Support) that impact Quality Assurance in the Supply Chain, establishing agreement between respective process owners (stakeholders) on their responsibilities and securing that processes are released following the Business Process Management framework.
You will also contribute to the enhancement of the corporate process for effective problem resolution throughout the organization (the Issue Resolution Management process), where it applies to supplier related improvement changes.
Job Description
Contribute to the (annual) set up of an SQA Quality Plan in alignment with stakeholders in Development & Engineering, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, Logistics and Manufacturing;
Contribute to the development of a corporate Supply Quality Assurance framework;
Lead teams of different (technical) disciplines of ASML employees as well as suppliers without direct hierarchical authority.
Assure that process improvements are embedded in the ASML Business Process management framework.
Conduct process assessments in the areas of Supply Chain Engineering (new products and volume products) and Procurement to monitor impact and effectiveness of SQA process execution;
Support the implementation of process improvement initiatives within the sectors;
Be the sector competence partner for D&E Supply Quality Assurance, GLS Supplier Quality & Logistics and Strategic Sourcing and Procurement in the areas of Quality and Process improvement;
Periodic reporting to management on progress and improvement opportunities.
Context of the position
The Process Improvement Manager reports to the Department Manager of QPI Supply Quality Assurance (SQA). The Quality and Process Improvement Vision is: “Customers recognize ASML as best in class on quality of our products, services and partnership”
The Quality and Process Improvement Mission is: QPI is the function accountable to create, deploy, and have executed by all sectors the ASML Quality Policy, to continuously increase robustness of processes, products, and services, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Promote a quality driven culture throughout ASML through policies, road map and targets, and build quality competences in the organization;
Drive and contribute to the ASML Business Process Management framework, being the process expert;
Standardize and deploy quality procedures & tools, support the operational quality activities (Quality Assurance and Control) which are responsibility of the sectors.
Education
Master degree (MBA or MSc) with relevant experience in a similar role.
Experience
At least 7 years of experience in setting up Business processes within a complex, high tech business-to-business environment;
Extensive experience in the area of Supply Quality Assurance as integral part of (long term) supply base management, supplier performance management and supplier development;
Knowledgeable of or experienced with basic Quality tools like Lean, Six Sigma, (Process & Design) FMEA, 8D problem solving methodologies, Quality Management Systems auditing in a high tech business-to -business environment;
Familiar with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements;
Extensive experience in guiding multidisciplinary teams along a change path towards tangible improvements.
