Junior Consultant Solar Job Description

Your will start as a junior expert, working on basic analysis on different solar projects, and will gradually evolve to the role of technical consultant on solar energy, advising 3E’s clients (developers, investors, lenders and other stakeholders) on all technical aspects of a solar plant, from the development phase, over the financial close until the operational phase of the project.

Your Responsibilities:

At first your main responsibilities will be to carry out energy yield assessments and uncertainty analysis for solar projects in and outside of France, as well as gradually getting trained in performing other technical assessments, either from the office or during site inspections:

• Solar irradiation, performance and energy production assessments
• Uncertainty analysis / P90 studies
• Design verification and optimization of solar plants
• Support and analyze technology choices; identify technical risks and recommend mitigation measures
• Perform technical feasibility studies for potential solar projects
• Perform site inspections before, during and after construction of the projects.

Junior Consultant Solar Job Requirements

Profile:

You have a graduate degree in engineering or equivalent through experience / enthusiasm. An electrical background would be a big asset. You have a clear interest for Renewable Energy, and the mindset of a consultant: you are client-oriented, dynamic and a quick learner. Ideally you have a first working or internship experience in an international environment.

You are internationally oriented and open to travel regularly for short or midterm periods to our international offices (Belgium, Turkey, South-Africa) or to project sites.

Skills: 

• You have good analytical skills and a solutiondriven, technical mindset.
• You have excellent organizational skills and are able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with an eye for time, budget and quality
• You have outstanding writing skills for technical reports (English and French)
• You are proficient with MS Office
• Knowledge of mapping software (Autocad), modelling for electrical networks (DiGSilent) and/or basic programming in Python/Matlab is an assetYou have a drivers license B
