Drivetrain Technician (Powertrain division) Job Description

Team/division description:
The Powertrain department is a. o. responsible for design & evaluation of engine parts and engine compartment parts for Toyota vehicles. Drivetrain is part of the Powertrain Division, and is in charge of mass production development (design & evaluation) of drivetrain systems and components for all Europe-built Toyota vehicles and transmissions, as well as calibration of transmissions (CVT, …).

Your responsibilities:

• Vehicle and Drivetrain preparation for test
• Vehicle alignment
• Flash ECU software
• Vehicle and Drivetrain instrumentation for test
• Drivetrain know-how
• Vehicle Drivetrain and Drivetrain NV (Noise & Vibration) evaluation
• Accurate data measurement and data analysis
• Reporting
• Transmission replacement
• Transmission disassembly and re-assembly
• Tire replacement and tire balancing
• Troubleshooting in case of mechanical or electrical problem
• Participate to the weekly clean-up of the workshop
• Vehicle masking
• Vehicle cleaning

Drivetrain Technician (Powertrain division) Job Requirements

• A2/A1 degree in automotive technology
• We are open both for school leavers and candidates with a few years of experience (dealership, hobby, racing,…)
• Willing to travel (Europe)
• Flexible, organised, practical, hands-on mentality
• Team player
• Good communication and problem solving skills
• Good knowledge of English (any other language is an asset)
• Familiar with MS Office
