Team/division description:
The electronics engineering division is responsible for series production ECU design and evaluation with local suppliers. The team you will join is responsible for the development of driver assistance systems, providing increased safety to Toyota customers, but also convenience features for a more comfortable journey.
Your responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the technical project management of the system you will be assigned to. The below tasks are expected:
Communication :
o Insure daily follow-up of suppliers (phone, web-meeting and frequent trips)
o Insure smooth communication with teams in Japan, and more widely; with all Toyota technical teams involved or related to your system
o Report in a clear manner any project deviation to Toyota top management, to support fast corrective decision
Technical :
o Confirm supplier understanding of Toyota specification
o Review and challenge suppliers plan and technical proposal
o Follow all R&D activities (software, hardware, mechanical, production) along complete V-cycle (design and evaluation)
o Lead/Support quality activities such as FMEA / FTA / DRBFM
o Define test methodology and review evaluation results
o Participate to system evaluation (bench, vehicle)
o Review test results and insure all Toyota Technical standards are respected
o You will review sensor installation
