As Technical Application Manager (TAM) Network you will ensure that the Networks Services are managed to the best economic advantage of the company. You are responsible for managing the network services with your external service providers (ESP's) across IT. With the ASML strategy of moving more to the cloud, the ASML network, its reliability and performance, will become more important. So your job will become more important each year.
Job Description
You will be responsible, as TAM Network, for safeguarding the network services. You will realize this by developing and maintaining the Network Services and policies. In a fast changing environment you will be able to oversee the whole of the network services in its eco system.
You must be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with the peer groups in IT and the ASML business sectors.In addition, you will establish controls and conduct service improvement projects and advise senior management by identifying critical networking issues and recommending service improvement solutions across our ESP's. This is a role that finely combines operational, tactical and managerial responsibilities in one.
What are the challenges you will be facing in this role?
- Be the lead on Networks Services globally;
- Define and manage the Networks Services strategy to meet business needs;
- Plan, design and implement network changes for LAN, WAN, and virtual private networks (VPNs) with our ESP's;
- Work with global network team resources, collaborate on support and performance and availability of the global network;
- Make sure the capacity of the network is always sufficient;
- Report to management about the effectiveness of network services, and make recommendations for improving those services.

Context of the position The IT division supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes across ASML. The ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all ASML's internal and external activities.A sub-department within the IT organization is the Competence Center Operations & infrastructure (O&I). This Competence Center provides all IT support services.
This includes generic IT infrastructure services like laptops and desktops, telecom services, network and datacenters for which we ensure that these services are running in an optimal way and we look at innovating the services. We also support the IT applications that are used at ASML.
ASML - IT - Technical Application Manager Network Job Requirements
- Masters of Science degree, preferably in MIS or related;
- Valid industry certifications such as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CCNP. CISA is a plus.
ExperienceDo you recognize yourself in the following requirements?
- 6+ years professional experience with a focus on networking services is a must;
- Able to develop, implement and monitor new network services;
- Able to design compliance and internal auditing programs;
- Great coordinating work with all vendors, contractors and consultants to maintain and enhance networking services;
- Able to summarize and communicate technical data to a non-technical audience;
- Sound understanding of networking and security technologies, techniques and best practices;
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with customers and suppliers;
- Experience in planning and managing strategic security programs.
