Equity Research Analyst – MedTech Job Description

Equinet is looking for an Equity Research Analyst to join the Technology team. In this role, you will be analyzing stocks from the German MedTech industry. Further­more, you will be responsible for writing research reports that support the investment decisions of our institutional clients: fund managers, insurance companies, asset managers, family offices and hedge funds. This includes generating investment ideas based on in-depth financial analysis and presenting them to internal sales teams and external clients.

Key responsibilities:

• Write sector and company research on the German MedTech industry
• Generate value-added investment ideas for our institutional clients
• Perform financial analysis and company valuation
• Develop and maintain complex financial models
• Analyze data from a variety of sources, including financial reports, company documents, industry publications, trade fairs and online services
• Closely interact with the company management, institutional investors and internal sales teams
• Attend company and industry presentations as well as conferences and build up your own network
• Monitor and evaluate the company news flow

Equity Research Analyst – MedTech Job Requirements

• Excellent academic skills in areas such as Finance or Economics desired; academic background in Engineering, Medicine or Sciences preferred. CFA or MBA a plus
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in equity research, investment banking or general finance; professional background from areas such as finance, controlling or business development within the MedTech industry highly preferred
• In-depth knowledge and insight in the German MedTech industry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate investment ideas effectively and fluently. Comfortable with client interaction
• Fluent in English and German (written and orally) required
• Strong attention to detail
• Proven team player
