CarRentals is a small, but rapidly growing part of the Expedia, Inc. portfolio. Software Development Engineer (m/f)

Position Summary and Responsibilities:
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Global Web Platform for Expedia's worldwide car rentals business. You will be helping to launch a global business with unlimited opportunity for growth. 

General Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain our Global Web Platform (we use Ember.js and Ruby On Rails)

Software Development Engineer (m/f) Job Requirements

Qualifications:
Must have:

• At least 2 years relevant experience in Software Development
• Expert knowledge in at least one of the following:
  • Single Page Applications using JavaScript (we use Ember.js)
  • Ruby On Rails (we use Grape for our JSON APIs)
• Solid understanding of internet technologies
• Understanding of why tests are important and how to write them
• General knowledge in modern VCS (we use GIT)
• Desire to work on Frontend and Backend

• Experience working with Ember.js and corresponding tool chain (we use Ember CLI, Grunt, Bower)
• Experience build fast and solid REST APIs using Ruby On Rails
• Experience with testing frameworks (we use qUnit and RSpec)

• Have a purpose and a voice (we all have a role, but we're all responsible for our future)
