Are you an experienced professional able to translate complex stakeholder requirements into innovative and successful product architectures? For our innovation center in Venlo, the Netherlands, we are looking for experienced Software Domain System Architects. Explore our vacancy and apply now!

The job 
As key player in the architecture team, you develop and realize product architectures that fit our business strategy as a global leader in digital printing and imaging. You will be responsible for translating customer needs into new technology, product concepts and designs, ensuring successful delivery of value-adding products for our customers. 

At the cutting edge of technology development, you remain aware of the latest relevant patent literature and play an important role in expanding the Océ patent portfolio. You will continue to extend your existing knowledge and network to stay informed of advances in technology and market developments, and apply these to further improve our innovation process.

Software Development
Your challenge as Software Development Architect is to define system software architecture that will shape the future print applications for Océ as a global leader. The user interface, workflow and productivity all form aspects of your role. You will also enhance and further develop our agile approach to multi-site platform development and model based system engineering (MBSE).

Embedded Software Development
As Embedded Software Development Architect you will work on the brain behind our world-leading products. You will apply agile processes and develop for state-of-the-art software platforms in a multidisciplinary and multi-site environment. Typical topics include code synthesis and high-performance processing as well as solutions for monitoring and controlling our products. You will model advanced system behavior and analyze big data to predict maintenance and further improve development processes. You will also create simulations and virtual developments. You will apply your knowledge and experience to develop a vision for maximizing the productivity of our printing solutions. 

Domain System Architect – Software Job Requirements

• An experienced professional with an MSc or PhD and 3 to 7 years of work experience
• A “Can-do” Engineer with at least 3 years experience in realizing a vision for product design and development
• An entrepreneur, driven by a passion to facilitate technological breakthroughs independently and within a project team of Architects from other domains and Lead Engineers
• Able to create verified and validated on-demand solutions to challenges from the market and from colleagues
• A team leader who can motivate professionals to think out-of-the-box and realize ambitious change
• A multicultural team player with excellent written and spoken English
• Able to communicate well with customers, managers and colleagues at all levels in the organization
• Analytical, with excellent organizational skills and a strong results-driven mindset
• Proactive in translating differing stakeholder requirements into feasible strategies, processes and solutions to produce concrete long-term results
• Permissioned to work in the Netherlands
