Zencap is a German company, operating a peer-to-peer lending platform, which allows private savers to lend money directly to small and medium sized businesses in Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands. Using the crowdfunding model, the company based in Berlin, Germany aims to create a direct link between private lenders and small businesses seeking loans. As of December 2014, Zencap had facilitated 5 million Euro in loans to small and medium sized firms.
Recently, the company was merged with Funding Circle, being active on UK and US.

Your tasks when working with us
About the job
· Develop, test, and deploy complex web applications and modules for our website
· Manage software development projects, including planning, tracking and executing software architecture
· Improve usability and performance to scale to a large global deployment
· Constantly improve the quality of code and processes
· Enforce best practices and optimize work flows
· Close cooperation with other departments (e.g. product management)
Job requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent professional education
· Proficiency in programming with PHP5 OOP and MySQL databases in a test-driven environment; solid Javascript experience; solid experience with at least one other framework/language combination
· Track record of several successful projects on Symfony2 in leading roles; experience with stakeholder management; proven ability to get things done
· Proficiency in designing and validating solutions in UML
· Experience with banking integrations and complex calculations
· Experience with mentoring less experienced developers
· Excellent English skills; German is a plus
