As an Expert in Precision Engineering you are responsible for technology and conceptual development and application of design principles and patterns of precision engineering to meet system specifications, and operational requirements.
Job Description
Within the sector Development & Engineering (DE) is responsible for the specification and the design of the products. The TWINSCAN cluster is concerned with the design, development, testing and integration of the complete TWINSCAN package which drives a generation of products. The group Immersion & OCC is responsible for providing the means and methods to improve immersion technology and optical column conditioning in the TWINSCAN machines. The job is about:
• Mechanical development of immersion and gas purge flow modules, within a multidisciplinary team of experts.
• Making 3D CAD models and detailed and accurate technical drawings.
• Investigation of complex mechanical issues (testing, tolerance calculations, data analysis).
• Definition and execution of functional tests to verify the specifications.
Education
MSc or BENg with a specialization in Precision-, Micro- engineering or Industrial Design Engineering.
Experience
Solid theoretical and experimental experience in the field of precision engineering. Preferably also experience in one or more of the following competences:
• Machine Processing and tolerances: Milling, lapping, spark erosion
• Joining technologies: fasteners, adhesives, welding, etc…
• Finite element method (FEM)
Personal skills
• Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude.
• Creative thinking capability.
• Good communication skills.
• Good knowledge of English.
