Product Engineer Job Description

Design and detailing of technical solutions, equipment and / or systems including all mono drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM). Execution is done with maximum possible consideration to price level, performance and production methods.Job description:As Medior engineer you are responsible for the designing and detailing of technical solutions needed for our production process. You are part of the project team and are operating under the supervision of the Senior Engineer and/or Manager Engineering. Within the project execution your result is always in correct balance between price/performance, planning and quality.Specific tasks and responsibilities:

• The design an detailing of main and sub assemblies as well as mono drawings using the CAD systems This also includes modification to existing machine drawings including the Bill of Materials (BOM). Consequently process these results in the administration, libraries and data records according to the appropriate procedures;
• Ensuring the modular design suitable for Configure to Order (PCF);
• Initiate proposal solutions for occurring problems, or for the development of new machines. If necessary orientation on site. Responsible for the correct selection from the alternatives;
• Creating setups for of main and sub assemblies in preparation for the execution within the team;
• Responsible for performing design calculations of critical points in the design;
• Ensure that the execution of main and sub assemblies are done with usage of the methodology and agreements;
• Review results based upon feedback provided (internal & external);
• Responsible for correct selection of base materials and/or (purchase) components;
• Available to participate in non engineering project teams;
• Support junior engineers and provide technical knowledge;
• Provides feedback and is in close contact with the Senior engineer.

Product Engineer Job Requirements

Specific skill set:

• MTS Mechanical Engineering with 4-5 years experience on the job, or Higher level education Mechanical Engineering;
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) both in English and native language;
• Team player but also able to work independently;
• Broad knowledge of PC, 2D and 3D CAD systems;
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
• Open for receiving feedback to translate this in personal improvement;
• Strong visualization skills;
• Ability to think in solutions;
• Analytical thinking, which quickly lead to practical solutions;
• Capable of handling with stress;
• Flexible and innovative, open to new technology and technique, out-of-the-box;
• Result driven, pragmatic and proactive;
• Accurate in the execution of work and the results;
• Able to detect improvement possibilities in the way of working within the department.
