Product Engineer Mechatronics (m/f) Job Description

Location: Böblingen 

Type of contract:: unlimited permanent position direct with our client 

Your key tasks:

• You will work within the organization of New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering which brings the company towards operational excellence in an outsourced manufacturing environment.
• You will actively drive and influence mechanical and electromechanical designs of new products and manage product changes for manufacturing process optimization, cost reduction and quality improvements
• You will qualify changes in NPI and production and manage the roll out to the whole supply chain
• You will support manufacturing of existing mechanic and electronic Hardware products and take care of the quality of those products
• You will define and monitor manufacturing metrics, analyze root causes in case of issues and define corrective actions to constantly fulfill the customer’s demand
• You will integrate the new products in the supply chain for customer systems and in to the manufacturing process flow in the Global Integration Center
• You will be responsible for assembly, installation, test and data collection processes as well as you will define and implement process optimization actions and drive quality metrics towards defined goals
• You will align processes in the Global Integration Center with new product requirements, implement and qualify them in the local NPI center and transfer them offshore during new product development
• You will work closely with contract manufacturers, Development, Supply Chain and Product marketing teams internationally

Product Engineer Mechatronics (m/f) Job Requirements

Your profile:

• Degree in Mechanics or Mechatronics Engineering or similar
• Minimum about 3 years of professional experience
• Knowledge regarding Manufacturing Processes of electromechanical assemblies
• Mechanical Design Knowledge
• Analytical skills in failure identification
• Interest in teamwork and cross-functional/cross-company interactions
• Good English and good German language skills
