Open positions for a
Product Innovation Specialist / Researcher Embedded Systems
06-June-2013 Eindhoven area
Core area: Technical Sciences in industry
Level of experience: Medior (5 to 10 years)
Working Time: Full-time (32 - 40)
Working period: n.a.
The role
You are member of a project team where, together with industrial end-users and academic partners, you work on the development of models and virtual techniques for design of complex (multidisciplinary) high-tech systems. These models emerge from discipline-related design views, such as for physics, chemistry, mechatronics, electronics and ICT. You will analyze these models to capture and predict key characteristics of the overall system design, e.g. in terms of system performance, reliability and overall architectural characteristics. You will develop the resulting system definition with the aid of special software tooling that is being developed as part of the research project and work to improve this into a leading toolset for design of complex high-tech systems.
As a member of the project team you will gain valuable experience working closely with one of the world leaders in the field of high-end printing systems, where you will be working from both the locations in Eindhoven and the client premises.
Your experience and interests
• You have an engineering degree (e.g. electrical engineering, software engineering, physics) at academic level.
• You have at least 5 years relevant experience in- or with industry in product development and architecting processes, ranging from system design, engineering, to integration and test.
• You are able to operate in unexplored areas of product innovation, are highly goal oriented and have a strong drive to deliver quality results.
• As a conceptual thinker, you like to develop new modeling, simulation and virtual analysis techniques for design of software-intensive systems.
• You are keen to further develop these techniques, demonstrate their value, and help bring them into industrial use.
• You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary research team, where you closely cooperate with the clients product development team, regularly working at their premises.
About TNO-ESI
