Project Manager Plate Systems Development (EN) - Agfa Graphics Job Description

As Project Manager Plate Systems Development you are responsible for:

• Developing new, high quality and innovative concepts for the printing plate offset printing market. Focus is on the development of printing plate systems that will bring added value to our customers in terms of competitive quality and environmental sustainability.
• Following up the latest developments in the graphics’ market environment. Designing and planning research to demonstrate potential future runs and concepts.
• Expanding our patent portfolio, as innovations go hand in hand with intellectual property.
• Collaborating with team members from various departments, such as R&D, marketing, application, production and fundamental chemical research to achieve project objectives on time and within budget.
• Efficiently controlling costs of your projects. Ensuring all safety and environmental aspects are covered.
• Providing technical guidance and coaching your team, acting as a leader of your product development team within PSD.

Project Manager Plate Systems Development (EN) - Agfa Graphics Job Requirements

Profile

• You have a scientific degree (PhD), preferably in chemistry. Knowledge of polymer chemistry is a must.
• You have experience with product development within the areas of polymers, coatings, surface chemistry, rheology and photo-reactions.
• Having experience with or knowledge of chemistry and imaging technology in the field of digital printing plate systems (offset and flexo) is an advantage.
• You are driven and an excellent team player.
• You are a strong leader, who can inspire and motivate others.
• You can co-operate well with interdisciplinary teams, colleagues, business partners and customers.
• You are strong in problem analysis and driven by innovation.
• You have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• You are willing to travel occasionally (< 20%).
• You are fluent in English and Dutch. Knowledge of German is an asset.
