Client
The position of (senior) software developer motion control is within the software metrology department in ASML, world’s leading manufacturer of complex lithography machines for the semiconductor industry. The responsibility of the software metrology department is to ensure optimal positioning and image quality of the full system by controlling the wafer measurement and exposure sequence. This involves implementation of complex controls algorithms for position measurement & controls systems in high speed and/or (nano)accuracy motion controlled systems. Software engineering, low level control engineering, sensor data signal processing, control algorithms development and machine learning are part of this department’s main competences.
Job Description
You will develop and implement (new) metrology software functions for controlling and driving various motion controlled systems up to nanometer accuracy, based on complex models and algorithms, taking leadership in critical design choices along the way.
· Converting complex models into effective software architectures;
· Design and implementation of domain specific algorithms for data analysis, machine learning and low level controls;
· Implementing optimization techniques for performance improvements (technically and usability) of measurement & control systems;
· Integrating and testing your advanced software solutions in mechatronic systems and/or prototype machines.
Experience
You have a technical engineering background in Computer Science, Information Technics or a Robotics, Systems and Controls background. You have proven experience in the software development lifecycle, from development to realization, implementation, testing and integration, relevant to complex technical product or equipment development.
· Minimum experience level of 5 years (for BSc) or 2-3 years (for MSc or PhD) in software engineering
· Experience in software engineering by implementation of control algorithms and software development in C/C++ and Object Oriented experience, like Python
· Multiple OS experience, like Unix/Linux and software configuration management.
Personal skills
You should be able to work independently in a dynamic and explorative environment, take responsibility, act decisively and show critical sense of high quality and consciousness of costs. You are able to work in multidisciplinary project teams, poses good communicational skills and good knowledge of English.
