PLC Programmer, location the Netherlands
The core business of our client is manufacturing custom made, turn-key compressor, dryer and nitrogen generators installations for the oil & gas industry around the world. We design, engineer and build all of our packages according to the requirements of the customer which each package is accordingly transported by sea, truck, train or plane to its final destination.
After an extensive technical training he/she should be able to program a PLC independently using the program style of company. Pre-programmed blocks have been developed which are used for the PLC program. These blocks make the program much more logical and easy to follow for everyone involved (i.e. the service engineer who will have to solve any issues in the PLC). It is therefore very important that these blocks are used.
From our office he/she will also be remotely assisting our commissioning engineers in the field with issues concerning the PLC and be responsible for selection of the required PLC components for the package considering the agreements made with the client and specifications. Ordering of components will be done in cooperation with the head of the department.
The candidate must have a Bachelor degree in applied sciences with a focus on electronics, mechanical engineering or IT. Previous work experience is a plus but certainly not required (graduates are welcome to apply). Experience with PLC programming is a pre. He/she should be fluent in written and spoken English, proficiency in French and/or German is a plus.
