Job Description
In close contact with your Lead Designer you will start writing a performance specification. This will be the starting point to create code and test code. The test code will be used for unit testing.
The results of this unit testing together with the regression test results will be written down in a test report. This report will be reviewed with the test and integration team before delivery.
Furthermore you will report in the Daily standup meeting to your Scrum master about your work status.Giving support is also a part of your daily activity. During your support activities you will have contact with Software engineers, Software integration, Customer Support and Manufacturing.
Your task is to pin point the root cause and define the solution direction of the issue.Within the group you will work in a continuous improving environment, so you should feel energized by these changes to move forward. We even expect you to take proactive initiative for continues improvement on software quality and/or development efficiency.
Context of the position
Within ASML, the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the development of ASML products. Within this sector the department Machine Control & Infrastructure (MC&I) is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the software of the complex lithographic machines.
ASML creates high tech machines; software engineers from MC&I are facing several aspects of motion control, production control, data management, Interface control and facilities to deliver default SW building blocks.
A huge code base is maintained and under strict configuration management to provide maximum commonality between different machine types.
Bachelor degree in Electronics or Technical Software, Informatics or Computer Science
Experience•
You should have at least have 3 years' experience of Software development for embedded systems.• C, C++ • Python is a pro• Developed software for generic purpose (example: platforms, frameworks, generic functionality) • Software backward compatibility experience is a pro• Reversed engineering is a pro• Software quality
