This extensive RD&I capability is supported by three Strategic Research Groups (SRG), one of which is Measurement and Analytical Science (SRG-MAS). SGR-MAS focuses on the use of physical and chemical techniques and methods to characterize and understand the composition, structure, and performance of materials, chemical products, and processes. SRG Researcher Wet Chemicals Analysis
This is a key research role in which you are part of a multi-expertise team clustered around: Wet chemicals analysis (titrations, HPIC, NPOC, physical techniques); Element analysis (ICP-ES, ICP-MS, (G)FAAS, XRFS, CV/H-AFS); Chromatography ( HPLC, GC, Headspace, HPSEC, CE); Spectroscopy ( NMR, FT-IR, Raman, GC-MS, LC-MS).

Responsibilities and deliverables
Within this context you execute day-to-day operations within the field of wet chemicals analysis, both organic and inorganic, initiating and executing R&D projects and developing analytical methodologies using wet chemicals techniques.
Further you act as the gatekeeper in the field of wet chemicals techniques, including maintaining and expanding an expertise network within and outside of AkzoNobel. You also perform consultancy for our customers on analytical R&D issues regarding materials, products and processes.
In addition you act as the project team member and/or project leader within innovation-driven programs. You also perform the functional coordination of an expertise cluster, including coaching of laboratory staff.
