Team Description
Toyota Technical Center (R&D) in Europe is responsible for the planning, development & production of attractive, superior quality cars matching Europe
an market requirements.
R&D aims to strengthen Toyota’s image in Europe.
Powertrain Technology & Planning (PTP) department is responsible for investigation & pre-development of European powertrain technologies in order to: reduce emission, fuel consumption, cost, weight & improve power performance of Toyota vehicles.
PTP is also responsible for planning & certifying Fuel Consumption performance of Toyota European models.
Your Responsibilities
Investigation of Fuel Consumption (FC), Emission (EM) & Power Performance (PP) of gasoline, diesel & hybrid vehicles as a part of development process of future Toyota models.
Key activities:
• Proposing & justifying powertrain development targets for future Toyota models;
• Leading chassisdynamometer (FC/EM) & on-road (PP/driveability) powertrain evaluations;
• Clarifying vehicle performances & measures used to achieve it based on measured data;
• Performing simulations to investigate impact of certain powertrain solutions in various conditions;
• Supporting powertrain certification process activities from Road Load determination until FC / EM assessment.
Your Profile
• Master or PhD Degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering field;
• Good knowledge of engine technologies (fuel injection, intake air management, electrical energy consumption, emission etc.);
• Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink, AMESim, Diadem, ETAS, …
• People with deep academic or industrial experience is preferable
• Experience in engine emission evaluation area is an asset;
• Strong analytical skills & perseverance;
• Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently;
• Team player with very good communication skills in a multi-cultural environment;
• Fluent in English is a must, any other European language is a plus.
