Technical Specialist/Consultant IBM (f/m) Job Description

location: Based in Serbia

Your responsibilities:

• Engage with the customer to understand the full scope of the solution request
• Process requests for specific hardware, software, license, services and configuration solution designs
• Create solutions and deliver them to the customer or to appropriate sales team
• Identify opportunities for add-ons, services, warranty up-lifts and other additional up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
• Build and manage relationship with Vendor
• Maintain integrity of customer information in Avnet systems
• Collaboration with appropriate internal and external resources to resolve technical issues
• Budget reviews and assist in determining gaps and actions needed to improve business results
• Maintain product and supplier certifications
• Drive readiness and technical demonstrations
• Manage demo facilities
• Build relationship with the partner community and also commercially assist in closing business

Technical Specialist/Consultant IBM (f/m) Job Requirements

Your profile:

• Preferably degree in a technical field
• 2-5 year experience in technical business development
• Deep technical and sales skills
• Deep knowledge and experience with supplier programs and their implementation
• Ability to perform complex or specialized design solution analysis for specific solution products and services
• Ability to analyse configuration requests or provide successful recommended alternative configuration or products
• Excellent English and local language skills
