HR Information System Administrator Job Description

Department
The HR and Organizational Effectiveness function of NEC Europe is a small and busy department of the EMEA Headquarters of NEC Europe, based in London. Its main mission is to oversee the design and deployment of HR plans, policies, projects and technology platforms for all companies of the NEC Europe group in the EMEA territory.
  
Role purpose

The HRIS Administrator will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and developing the HR Information System, and will provide support to all users across the EMEA Region.
  
Main responsibilities

  • Manage implementation, development, enhancement, and maintenance of HRIS
  • Ensure quality of data
  • Provide workforce data to other internal function (e.g. IT, finance, audit)
  • Provide standard and customised reports to management
  • Set up and manage ongoing processes (e.g. performance appraisal, holiday request)
  • Provide training and support to HRIS users (local HR representatives, managers, employees)
  • Act as a liaison with HRIS vendor and other third parties for additional software needs
  • Oversee troubleshooting involving internal IT support and vendors, ensuring that all issues are correctly addressed and solved in a timely manner
  • Support Compensation & Benefit expert in the management of benchmarking databases and preparation of data submission for salary surveys
  • Maintain, update and develop HR intranet page

HR Information System Administrator Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Languages: proficient English required (working language); other EMEA languages advantageous
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, HR management, or IT
  • Experience: HRIS or other database/information system required; multi-country exposure and previous IT industry experience desirable
  • Professional skills: Microsoft Office (part. Excel, Power Point) required; HTML or other basic programming languages desirable.
  • Analytical skills, precision, attention to detail
  • Customer focus (related to support and training activities)
