Flowserve Flow Control Benelux BV located in Roosendaal, is the head sales office and automation center for Flowserve’s comprehensive product portfolio of isolation valves and a variety of actuation & automation accessories.
From our sales office in Zaventem we serve the Belgian market and Luxembourg.
The brand portfolio comprises respected names such as Argus, Atomac, Automax, Durco, Edward, McCanna, Norbro and Worcester. Key customers are to be found within the chemical, petro-chemical, power, pharmaceutical and food industries.
Our Sales Engineers are responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Flowserve Flow Control customers in Belgium.
As a Sales Engineer you will join our team in the regional sales office in Zaventem, selling valves to our customers in the region and advising them on best practices and usage of the Flowserve product.
This position is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the Benelux Chemical Sales team.
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in process-technology or mechanical engineering (A1 level)
• A sound knowledge of valves and/or automation of valves and applications within the process industry
• Ability to identify and develop profitable opportunities within the chemical, petrochemical, and process industries
• A commercial sense of prices, pricing and products
• Ability to forge close working relations with existing and potential customers
• Ability to prioritize a heavy and variable workload and to ensure the proper and effective use of time by organizing the territory and planning daily, weekly and monthly schedules
• Willingness to work as part of a team in meeting daily demands and unit objectives
• Flexible, self-motivated individual with a positive and proactive approach and strong customer service ethic
• Commercially astute, “results driven” and an effective presenter and communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Fluent in Dutch and good command of the English and French language
• Basic knowledge of the German language
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
• Flexibility to travel as required
The following are preferred:
• Proven history of solving technical problems in a wide variety of situations
• Previous experience working for a valve manufacturer/distributor
This is a home-based job with normally 4 days per week spent in the field.
Once per month your attendance at the Sales Meeting in Roosendaal is required.
Accountabilities
• Sell company products profitably within guidelines laid down by Flowserve;
• Ensure total customer satisfaction;
• Obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of Flowserve Sales policies and implement these policies with maximum efficiency;
• Investigate, confirm and exploit all potential sales outlets for company products;
• Produce and maintain accurate records of all activities in accordance with Company report systems;
• Liaise closely with the Flowserve sales organization, both internally and externally, to ensure the achievement of both sales and company objectives;
• Create Area Sales Marketing Plan contributing to the formulation of National Sales Objectives;
• Submit call plans and monthly reports to the Sales Manager Belgium on a weekly and monthly basis;
• Report on market requirements and changes, which could affect Flowserve products and policies, including competitors’ activities;
• Take full advantage of the Company Sales Department promotional and training facilities, ensuring that the maximum benefit is obtained from these;
