Define, realize, manage and maintain various measurement electronics concepts and products (Computers, computer racks & cabinets, processor boards, storage solutions, thin clients, network switches and cabling, displays, keyboards, trackballs ) for existing and new ASML products.
Job Description
- Act as the EDEV representative in a multidisciplinary design team, especially together with colleagues from software department.
- Define, document and maintain requirements of various computer systems electronics products.
- Participate in realization of computer systems electronics products.
- Define, document, and execute tests to ensure that computer systems electronics products satisfy the requirements.
- Define Technical Product Documentation for a part used during ordering, manufacturing and testing.
- Perform trade-off studies to determine the preferred implementation scenario for new or changed functions.
- Contribute to Computer Systems roadmap and building-blocks. COTS solutions and using industry standards are highly preferred.
- Make work breakdown and planning for the various computer systems electronics products, agreed with other stakeholders.
- Manage outsourcing of computer systems electronics related modules.
- Transfer knowledge to production and service engineers.
- Solve problems during 1st product integration.
- Support production and service as an expert (4th line support).
- Analyze and solve reliability issues.
Context of the position The Designer Computer Systems will report to the group leader Applications Electronics.

Master or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
- 2-5 years' experience as designer, including experience with multidisciplinary system design.
- Knowledge of- and experience with: definition and realization of multi-processor computer systems and networks.
- Broad technical knowledge of: computer hardware (Sun, PowerPC, x86 PC), operating systems (Windows, Solaris, VxWorks, Linux, VMware), networks (ethernet, switched fabric), storage hardware (RAID, SSD), software development (scripting), real-time design.
Personal skills - Highly motivated team player with good social- and communication skills.
- Self-propelling, takes initiative in daily work.
- Fluent in Dutch and English in speech and in writing.
