Department
The software department is responsible for the specification, design and integration of the software architecture and sub-systems which are fitted into high-tech end products and equipment. The main focus of the department is related to intelligent embedded solutions for both motion control, time driven applications, image and data processing systems.
Job Mission
In the position of (Senior) Embedded Software Engineer you will be responsible for the definition, design and implementation of next generation equipment and products. You are responsible for creating clear specifications, making the efficient design choices and to 'make it happen' by also implementing the design.
Job Description
You are a result-oriented engineer that enjoys to work with technical challenges and has capability to think “out-of-the-box”. You will be involved in the whole design process from architecture specification, development, implementation and testing of (real time) software.
Educational Level
MSc or PhD in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Computer Sciences, Mechatronics, Informatics, Physics or comparable. At least 2 years (for senior 7+ yrs) of working in a relevant (technical) software development environment. Demonstrable expertise in Unix/Linux, C, C++, MATLAB, UML, realtime, Python, VxWorks, Solaris and software configuration management. You have experience in developing high-tech electronics or mechatronics systems with Software development, realization, implementation, testing and integration.
Personal Skills
The candidate should have a systematic approach with an analytical thinking. Should be result oriented and pragmatic; conceptual and creative. Should be interested in technical and practical experience with automation, and use tools to develop best embedded solutions. Have excellent communication skills in English and should be a good team player.
