Context of the position
Trade compliance and risk management are key to a smooth supply chain: ultra-fast transportation networks and 36-hour delivery guarantees are no use if shipments are delayed at border crossings due to missing paperwork. Hence the Trade & Infrastructure (T&I) team is present wherever ASML is, streamlining border passage while minimizing duty and handling costs.
Shipping advanced systems requires alignment with ASML's sales, account support, factory and finance departments plus customers, riggers, airlines and forwarders to deliver at the right time, quality and price. Advanced real-time track-and-trace equipment to monitor location, temperature and handling ensure ASML and its suppliers meet all requirements.
T&I also establishes and maintains logistics infrastructures near customer sites – not merely “box-in, box-out” operations but sophisticated, climate-controlled cleanroom facilities. This makes added-value services as important to the ASML-supplier relationship as price.
