The Advanced Technology 1 division in Toyota Motor Europe is responsible for advanced research on functional materials like catalyst, magnetic materials, battery for clean energy. We aim at transferring and integrating European unique and advanced technology into the final product for future breakthrough.

Magnetic nanomaterials study for created soft and hard magnetic codomains

Magnetic nanomaterials <20nm particles synthesis using wet chemical approaches,analysis and evaluation of particle size, alloying properties
Grain boundary and magnetic spin alignment mechanism analysis

Magnetic Nanomaterials Job Requirements

Your profile

Finishing or finished within last year Masters or equivalent degree in Chemistry or Material Science or Nanoscience
Good knowledge of magnetic nanoparticles/ nanoparticles synthesis and analysis (XRD,TEM, AFM, or VSM, SQUID...)
Good communication, friendly and proactive
Hands-on mentality
Computer skills : Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Technique specific software
Fluent in English is a must

Place of employment

The chosen candidate will join the Advanced Technology 1 team located at Toyota Motor Europe’s Technical Centre in Zaventem, Belgium. Lab facilities are available on site, and collaboration with local research institutes and universities can be considered for the success of the project.

Magnetic Nanomaterials Application Information

Starting date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Confidentiality: Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
