Ambitious Process Engineer (Graduate or High-Potential)
Influencing and improving future products by making entrepreneurial decisions
Your role
In product development we are working on technological breakthroughs to enlarge the application range of our printing technology. The development of new inks, print heads and understanding the interactions between inks and print heads and inks and substrates are essential for the realization of successful products. With your multi-disciplinary team you are responsible for delivering successful designs and solutions.
For products in development (e.g. inks or print heads) you design and implement new production processes and realize the equipment involved. This comprises developing a product vision, defining requirements and (project) plan.
Together with your colleagues of Manufacturing you take care of factors like productivity, yield, cost price and equipment reliability. You combine your expertise, with your influencing and decision making skills ensuring in time delivery of high quality designs and solutions of your team to the overall project. Moreover you test and proof the feasibility of processes in one of our pilot plants. When a process is ready for implementation you assign it to Manufacturing.

Who are we looking for?
• You have a Master degree Chemical and Process Technology or comparable
• You recently graduated, and have proven affinity with process engineering. Moreover you have worked in projects or you have been involved in extracurricular activities. Experience with leading a (small) team is a plus
• Or you have up to 5 years relevant work experience in a comparable role. You want to develop your coaching and decision making skills having ambitions to become a team lead or project lead
• In a multidisciplinary team you speak up by showing a lot of initiative and drive. Moreover you convey a vision and inspire, convince and motivate your team.
• You are a team player, pragmatic, decisive and realization-oriented, and strong prioritizing the quality of your work
• Strong communication skills in English – verbal and written. Profound knowledge of Dutch is a plus

Department
Part of our Research & Development organization, the Materials & Device Technology Development Center (MDTD) assures the development of competitive products by realizing the involved print (imaging) processes with the right print quality, reliability, time to market and cost structure (TFQS). MDTD is also responsible for development and engineering of strategic consumables (e.g. ink) and modules, essential elements in our printing process. This includes design and realization of the process technology.
