MES Engineer Job Description

As MES engineer you will be responsible for implementing their software package developed for terminal automation and other projects. As such you will be responsible to collect the customer functional requirements and inputs. These need to be translated to a design of the automation solution using MLM for which implementation you will closely cooperate with colleges in different offices. Together with the PM you will monitor the progress and review the quality of the configuration of the MLM software package. It this role you will interface between the customer and the implementation to address to review design documents, resolve any issues or technical queries that may arise. Also you will participate in start-up and commissioning activities for their customers on site. As the customer locations also will be abroad and we have an international project team, it is required to work abroad on customer site for a limited period of time.

• Design of hardware / software architecture for MES applications in an industrial production environment, and also LAN networks
• Designing functional reports and graphic displays for process monitoring
• Configuration of MES software packages together with real-time data archiving servers (including OSI PI System)
• Documentation of the solutions offered
• Assist in startup and commissioning activities of customers
• Give feedback to improve in the development of engineering / application standards and engineering tools

MES Engineer Job Requirements

• At least 3 years experience in Project Services Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level in related field
• A valid driver license Computer Literate (MS Office, MS developer tools and MS server products)
• Good Software programming skills
• Good knowledge of software and operating systems
• Working knowledge of network architectures
• Verbal and written communication skills fluent in Dutch and English
•  Willingness to work at customer site for a limited period of time
