Automotive Technology Engineer - Electrical&Electronics Segment Job Description

• Lead and drive technical programs from start to commercialization in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders (Technology & Innovation, Marketing, and Product Management teams, customers and external parties) to grow automotive portfolio to achieve SABIC 2025 vision.
• Proactively communicate with project team members and business stakeholders on project progress towards business goals and address potential gaps and barriers. Actively participate in project reviews.
• Provide technical expertise in understanding materials and application needs as well as screening and evaluating existing solutions to establish a firm base for technical program initiations. Translate market needs into clear technical requirements.
• Interface with Intellectual Property team to maintain and ensure Intellectual Property coverage.
• Responsible to keep all deliverables up-to-date in SABIC Project Management tool in an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach.
• Together with the Marketing team, follow market trends and customer needs. Propose pipeline programs to address these needs.
• Ensure activities are compliant with safety, regulatory and intellectual property requirements.

Automotive Technology Engineer - Electrical&Electronics Segment Job Requirements

• BSc, MSc. or Ph.D. in Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent
• MSc or PhD with 2-5 years relevant experience or BSc with more than 5 years’ experience (after graduation.
• 3+ years of experience (after graduation) in plastics industry and/or automotive industry, preferably in automotive electrical & electronics applications
• 5+ year experience in project management in at least one of the following fields: Material development, Structural part design, Application manufacturing (e.g. injection moulding, secondary operations)
• Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
• Desire and Ability to work in global cross-functional teams
• Experience in customer and external interactions
• Flexibility to travel, namely within Europe (30%)
