The is the only tool which allows building designers to simulate the full performance of their design.

FP7 Project Manager Job Description

The successful candidate will be highly involved with the future and direction of IES as a company and the product development which will allow us to enter new target markets.  They will be responsible for the following duties

• Where IES are project coordinators, coordination of full collaborative projects including management of the other project partners, reporting to the European Commission and attendance at European meetings and workshops presenting results on behalf of the consortium.
• Coordination of IES activities with IES development teams ensuring all tasks and deliverables are completed within time and budget of the project
• Working with the financial administrator to ensure financial management of the project and that the work remains within budget
• Project/deliverable reporting and presentation of project results at project meetings
• Attendance at EU based meetings and travel to EU based meetings
• Responsible for market research and feeding this back to the development and spec writing team
• Responsible for Q&A regarding the requirement spec, the functional spec and the end product (i.e. ensuring what we said we’d develop is what we do develop)
• Responsible for dissemination material and outreach
• Responsible for exploitation plan and product market route to pass to the sales and training team

• Attendance at EU events to gain new ideas for future IES products
• Networking activities
• Creation of project consortiums for new EU and UK funded proposals
• Preparation and writing of EU and UK funded proposals

FP7 Project Manager Job Requirements

Essential skills:

• Degree in engineering or building physics
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Knowledge of the construction industry and resulting market
• Confident, assertive communicator, able to gain co-operation from clients, internal staff and external partners

• Higher level diploma, Masters or PhD in engineering or building physics
• Ability to speak in French, German, Spanish or Italian
