The Vehicle Functions function area comprises functions which calculate, arbitrate and control vehicle speed, vehicle speed limits, vehicle acceleration and driver reward based on input signals and estimators. Strategic vehicle operating modes, torque/speed intervention and function related diagnostics are part of function area as well.
You will be planning, analysing, evaluating, designing, and testing software implementation proposals based on functional requirements. You will delegate specification and verification activities based on priorities, planning and capacity.
You are working on multiple projects and you will meet frequently with the corresponding project lead engineers. In this position you report to the Supervisor of the Software Definition group within the department of Engine Control Systems and functionally to the project lead engineer(s).
• Technical education on college/university level with a specialisation in control theory, mechanical or automotive engineering
• Knowledge of embedded software design processes (according to internal and external standards)
• Several years of experience with Matlab/Simulink
• Experienced with creation of software specifications in Matlab/Simulink
• Experience with process supporting tools like defect management, calibration and programming tools
• Sound knowledge of vehicle functions and controls used in heavy duty automotive applications
• Sound knowledge of vehicle speed governing theory and operation
• Knowledge of model-based design techniques is preferred
• Above-average communication skills
• Fluent in both Dutch and English language.
