The system/software engineer’s main activities will be drawn from, but not limited to, the following:
System design
· Capture and analyse customer requirement
· Define and review system requirements including sensor/actuators and control strategies.
· Model the overall system to verify the strategies
· Produce executable specifications using Matlab/Simulink and related toolsets
· Interface with other teams, including Hardware
· Ability to tune/support tuning of data on the vehicle
Software
· Implementation of software using MISRA C under a defined process
· Use of Real Time Workshop to generate auto code from Matlab/simulink
· Configuration Control tools, e.g. ClearQuest/ClearCase
Testing
· Create and execute system level validation
· Create and execute module level validation
· Participate in software review, debug and analysis
· Support Production system/software validation
· Support customer’s engine and vehicle testing
Education/Experience:
Educated to degree level
Experienced in an embedded application field
Previous experience in developing real time systems
Hands on experience on Matlab/Simulink and development of embedded ‘C’ Code
Excellent communication skills in English – both oral and written
Optional:
Understanding of diesel application and associated fuel injection equipment
Hands on experience on RTW
