Introduction
As an Manufacturing Process Development Engineer you assure application & operational support for customers utilizing the ASML systems in Veldhoven and demonstrate the true capabilities of the ASML systems in a 2 shift roster. (7.00-15.30h and 14.30-23.00h) and working one weekend every four weeks from 7.00-15.30h). This job is considered a stepping stone for future 2nd and 3rd line field application engineers within ASML.

Job Description
•Key member of a specialized application team working in two shifts.
•Prepare, execute and lead advanced application projects for our customers and other departments within ASML.
•Work closely with customers, vendors and colleagues regarding project planning, preparation, execution, and after care. Including, evaluation, analysis and reporting of the results.
•Plan, execute, and document technical projects initiated within Demo team.
•Operate lab equipment, processing wafers, run metrology equipment, utilize analysis tools, and report results.
•Diagnose and solve problems in close cooperation with specialists from other ASML departments, equipment suppliers, and material vendors.
•Provide support, training, and/or assistance as necessary to other colleagues within ASML.
•Maintain close relations with relevant ASML departments to be prepared for future products, technology, and analysis techniques etc.
•Perform general administrative and coordination duties, including pass-downs, work orders, documentation, and monthly reports.
Education
Position requires a Master degree or a Bachelor degree in a technical discipline with 0 - 3 years of experience.
Experience
Experience with processing and/or metrology in a semiconductor manufacturing or similar environment during the study is preferred.

Context of the position
ASML’s Customer Support Engineering (CSE) sector ensures that ASML’s customers are supported efficiently by:
•Providing knowledge/technical services to on-site personnel in countries such as Japan, Korea and Taiwan,
•Undertaking specialist engineering work at customer sites and for customers in Veldhoven.
Within the CSE sector, the Application & Business Support (ABS) department supports the effective use of ASML machines in the customer’s production process at customer sites and Veldhoven.
The CS ABS Demo team ensures application & operational support for customers utilizing ASML systems in Veldhoven by providing process & development support and demonstrating the full capabilities of ASML systems.
The Manufacturing Process Development Engineer reports to the shift supervisor within CS ABS Demo team and has internal interfaces with Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, Customer Support & Logistics. The Manufacturing Process Development Engineer has external interfaces with customers, semiconductor equipment manufacturers, material suppliers, and peer engineers within the industry.
