Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Kent

Based in Kent, the Principal Mechanical Design Engineer will be woking for a company who have been at the forefront in design and manufacture of Low Voltage and High Voltage Switch Mode Custom Power Supplies. Products are used in harsh environment applications across a wide range of equipment in the Defence, Aerospace and Telecommunications markets.

Skills, experience and qualifications required:

*At least 5 years experience in electronic packaging.

*Qualified to degree standard in a relevant mechanical engineering course.

*A complete understanding of heat transfer mechanisms in the cooling of electronics.

*Experience in the use of finite element software for thermal and structural analysis.

*Experience in design of jigs for environmental testing, production assembly fixtures and mould tools for encapsulated components.
