Drupal back-end developer Job Description

Kañooh is helping the Flemish Government to build their websites in a smarter and more efficient way. As a Drupal back-end developer you will join the team in Brussels in creating a user-friendly content management system based on Drupal, tailored to the needs of organizations. More specifically

The main responsibilities of a Drupal back-end developer:

• You develop and implement new Drupal 7 modules.
• You customize and tweak existing modules.
• You actively contribute to the design of the Drupal solution.
• You enjoy sharing your expertise and insights with the rest of the team.
• You actively look for ways in which open-source technologies can improve our project.
• You will work in a dedicated team of 12 people from our office in Brussels.

Drupal back-end developer Job Requirements

What does Kañooh requires of a Drupal back-end developer:

• You have a broad experience in developing large Drupal 7 websites and web applications.
• PHP is your native tongue.
• Experience with Symfony is an advantage.
• You have server side experience including one or more of the following: MySQL, web services development; service oriented architecture, MVC and related patterns.
• You have an extensive knowledge of OO and possess great analytical skills.
• You are aware of tools & techniques to troubleshoot and address performance-related issues on high-traffic websites.
• Linux server administration skills are a plus.
• You take pride in writing code that is qualitative, user-friendly, reusable and easy to maintain.
• You love to work in a very dynamic environment with a can-do startup mentality without neglecting the automated testing part of the job.
• You are used to coding in teams so you are familiar with tools such as git, Jenkins, …
• You are able to self-manage and meet deadlines on a tight schedule.
• You are fluent in English.
