As a Controls Software Engineer you will be based in Coventry with a leading powertrain business you will develop the control software for transmissions. The Controls Software Engineer is expected to develop software for various automatic transmission solutions using Matlab/Simulink and dSpace Target Link. This will also require regular customer discussions to define requirements, creating software models, generating the code, FMEA & Safety Analysis and testing the solutions in vehicle. The successful Controls Software Engineer should have an automotive background (either mechanical understanding of transmissions or electrical / software & control background).
Responsibilities as the Controls Software Engineer include:
Develop software with Matlab/Simulink
Must have a sound understanding of the hardware.
The ideal Control Engineer :
MSc or PhD (preferred) in relevant subject with substantial working experience.
Applicants should have a proactive approach and drive to meet targets.
Controls Software Development.
Transmission Control.
Matlab/Simulink or C-Coding.
dSpace Tools.
Software Devlopment Tools.
