The main responsibilities of a Senior C# Developer (UI side) are:
As a Senior C# Developer within our development team you will be tasked to scale up the firm's capacities to manage inventory. You will be doing this by processing, storing, servicing (to systems and users), and confirming its consistency using external data sources.
You will be expected to play a key role in streamlining our development process when needed, from source code check-in to deployment and finally to production (Jira, Jenkins, svn, git).
You have a proven track record working with C# and additional knowledge of C++, Java or Posix systems is welcome.
Storing big amounts of data in structured manners requires in depth knowledge of SQL (preferably T-SQL) and if Map-Reduce means something to you, it’s definitely a plus.
What does Optiver Europe require from a Senior C# Developer (UI side):
- An university degree, preferably in IT Engineering or Information Systems;
- At least 3-5 years proven experience as an IT Developer;
- Knowledge, experience and a good track record of working in C#;
- Experience in UI development;
- Experience with WPF and MVVM;
- Great teamwork and communication skills;
- A self-starting, ‘can do’ attitude;
- The ambition to develop yourself constantly through experience, training and on-the-job development;
- Affinity for the financial markets is a plus, but not essential.
