Melexis Bulgaria is looking for a confirmed senior engineer to expand its test department. In such position you will be in charge of the Test solution development and industrialization process following all IC design steps from feasibility till final release in production according to the industry standards. The main focus of Melexis today falls on the automotive electronics market where you will have the opportunity to develop of advanced Mixed Signal semiconductors, sensor ICs, and programmable sensor IC systems.
In addition, another main responsibility of you as a STE will be to guide and coach the other test engineers in order to continuously develop the technical competence within the team.
Last but not least, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the development processes. This is done through a global test engineer’s community where we continuously look for improvement possibilities in terms of efficiency, quality and technical expertise to ensure a sustainable and competitive development.
Main accountabilities of the position:
• Support the definition of test concepts (HW/SW) and DFT measures in close cooperation with test architect and design team
• Support the HW development to adapt existing test platforms to the product requirements.
• Develop the test software for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) according to the predefined concept, relevant documentation and agreed project planning
• Debug and validate all required test releases such as first silicon, device qualification, characterization and final product release in Manufacturing
• On request, provide support to investigate and debug occurring issues during Production, as well as to propose improvements in terms of robustness, efficiency and cost
• Maintain adequate and up-to-date project documentation during the development
• Support re-use opportunities identification and development new test know-how including new tools and best practices
• Provide guidance and coaching younger test engineers in order to optimize their contribution and to assist in the development of their expertise and efficiency
The successful candidate will have:
• Minimum 5 years with relevant experience in test solution development
• Master degree in Electrical engineering or related
• In-depth understanding of HW and electronic circuit design
• Experience with automatic test and production equipment for semiconductors
• Experience with programming languages (C, C++ are considered advantage)
• Working experience with Windows and Linux OS
• Working experience in Automotive Industry
• Working experience within multinational teams
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills
• A driving team player who can easily adapt to a changing environment
