Vanderlande – challenges in motion
The department
After sales services has become a core business for Vanderlande Industries (VI) and is still growing. The Customer Services department, situated in our headquarters in Veghel, develops service strategies and supports service activities in the customer centers. VI's (high level) controls expertise combined with process expertise is a key-differentiator towards customers. The group Process & Controls Services is part of the Customer Services department and aims to grow after-sales activities for process consultancy and life cycle services for controls. The team comprises 6 FTE's and will be expanded.
The position
As logistics consultant you advice our existing customers how their logistical process can be optimized. Your advice goes beyond the use of the automated material handling system supplied by VI. After an initial investigation together with the customer, you understand the relevant processes, influencing factors, KPI's and (rough) improvement potential. Together with the service account manager you decide how to proceed taking into account the potential for the customer and the role VI can fulfill in realizing this. The sequel could be a more in-depth analysis leading to recommendations, a continuous improvement program including process engineers on-site or a modification to (the controls software) of the automated material handling system.
Besides you support the process engineers in the customer centers. This can be achieved by training, by sharing best practices between customer centers or by providing means like methodologies and business process data retrieval and analysis applications.
