The department
The Systems Simulation department conducts studies into the logistical performance of complex systems that Vanderlande Industries provides. Both internal departments and our various international Customer Centres are supported during the quotation, project realization and service phase. Systems Simulation uses computer simulation models to monitor and analyse performance before installing the actual system. The projects are done globally and include a wide customer diversity.
The position
You are the key to success of our material handling solutions. You ensure that Vanderlande Industries meets its contractual obligations within time and budget. As a Logistic Simulation Engineer, you have basic knowledge of logistics and material handling industry terminology, so that customers can discuss and explore alternative approaches and operational concepts. You will work closely with internal and external customers. You are part of a team, using 3-D simulation software (including Automod) to solve complex logistical puzzles. You like to explore material handling processes and their dynamic interactions. Preparing simulation models, model validation and model quality assurance are important components of the position. You analyse the results and discuss the solutions with the customer. Achieving improvements and developing tailor-made decision support tools challenge your analytical, creative and communicative skills.
