Vanderlande – challenges in motion
You will focus on developing and implementing global commodity strategies for turnkey subcontracting.
The position
Implementing a global strategy in partnership with the preferred suppliers and customer centres is key in further development of the commodities. To achieve this goal you will define a commodity plan which aligns to the VI business plans and sourcing strategy.
After negotiations on price and supply conditions you close contracts with suppliers and you will resolve complex and high impact supply related issues. As a commodity manager, you maintain and improve the relationships with strategic suppliers and evaluate their performance. Giving advice on sourcing related topics to project management and suppliers is also part of your role.
In addition to the subcontracting commodity other commodities will be in scope of this position.
The department
Corporate Project Procurement (CPP) buys in goods and services of third parties for the Vanderlande project and service departments. CPP focuses on operational projects and long term development of the supplier base with optimum commercial conditions to maintain our competitive position..
Your profile
· An academic degree
· Experience with turnkey subcontracting
· Familiarity or experience with software engineering processes
· Experience in Global sourcing and/or Project procurement
In this position as commodity manager, your focus is on building partnerships, both internally and externally, therefore you have strong networking and communication skills. With your high commercial and contractual awareness you create a structured approach of commodity management.
