Junior Digital Design Engineer Job Description

Junior Digital Design Engineer assures support for development and standardization of the digital part for new products/technologies/processes by bringing specific technical expertise.

Major Responsibilities

• Support the design, development and test of the digital part of high performance integrated circuits for different product families and development sites.
• Make contribution to the team in order that the project is conducted within the defined framework
• Give support to project teams with regards to digital design • Provide the necessary documentation to the organization and follow-up the implementation of the technical concepts during the development.
• Contribute to activities in digital design in order to define and propose improvements in terms of processes, procedures and efficiency
• Participate in design reviews

Junior Digital Design Engineer Job Requirements

Successful candidate will have:

Competencies

Must have

• Digital Design: Knowledge of design concepts in order to set up the overall database (RTL coding). Basic understanding of testability and impact on quality of final product.
• Simulation: Experience with some simulation tools (i.e. NCSim ModelSim, ActiveHDL). Ability to generate adequate test benches

• Firmware: Ability to develop simple CPU firmware either in assembler or in C
• Test: Ability to elaborate test-vectors in CAD (i.e. Cadence Encounter Test) in order to insure high fault coverage
• Synthesis-Layout: Basic knowledge of synthesis, place and route tools.
• Knowledge of FPGA
• Experience of work in Linux environment.

• University degree in microelectronics
• Internship experience in the related industry
• Intermediate level of English(written and oral)
