Our Technology Division undertakes the development of innovative new products and equipment from concept through to full production, often incorporating considerable technical challenges. As the next phase of our strategic growth begins, a number of opportunities have been created within our multi-disciplinary Mechanical Engineering Group.
The Mechanical Engineering Group are involved in New Product Developments (NPD’s) for each of Elektron Technology’s brands, based at our centralised R&D head office in Cambridge. Working within multi-disciplinary teams of Engineers, you will be involved in the realisation of new products from concept through to manufacture in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. Our team of Mechanical Engineers utilise design tools such as Pro/E and Solidworks to realise the 3D designs whilst analysing the designs using techniques such as tolerance analysis and static / dynamic stress analyses, to name a few. As Elektron Technology’s brands are very diverse, the variety of projects and technical challenges you will be exposed to within the company are endless.
We are looking to recruit innovative, adaptable and talented Graduate Mechanical Engineers with excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and spoken.
Graduate Mechanical Engineer
As a talented and creative Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved with hands-on product development and design of complex mechanical or electro-mechanical systems. You will contribute to multi-disciplinary projects in teams of Engineers and Designers, and be comfortable with the design and interpretation of technical drawings.
Specific responsibilities are likely to include:
With a Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) or a related discipline, coupled with proven commercial technical experience, you will collaborate with both our internal brands and other Engineers on projects, sharing your technical expertise to liaise with the brands to understand their requirements.
